Working with Trey Lewis, with Lewis Coastal Homes has been a great experience. We now have a beautiful custom-built home! Trey is the most organized builder, in regards to scheduling, that I have ever known – completing our home in 7 months from foundation to CO! All of his tradesmen were top quality craftsmen. Trey was always available in person, by phone or text. He addressed any issues that came up and quickly got them resolved. Just posting a post build recommendation for Trey Lewis and Lewis Coastal Homes. My wife and I are thrilled with our home and our ongoing relationship with Trey and his team.

From the start Trey was engaging and made the build process incredibly easy.  We live in Chicago land, and I can be a bit of a control freak, so I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the thought of building a home so far away.  He understood that apprehension and was shockingly anticipatory of our needs.

I was worried about my ability to keep track of everything, and how I would ensure progress is actually being made.  Trey’s approach endeared trust from the beginning.  His communication was engaging and as consistent prior to contract, as it was throughout the build.  We received regular updates and communications, with pictures on progress.  He was personable, straight forward and direct with good news as well as temporary bumps along the way.  Through the entire build I don’t recall a single surprise.  

I found Trey engaging, always upfront, and most critical to me was his accessibility.  He was prompt with replies.  He was very accommodating with adjustments and changes that we wanted to make, even when they were disruptive to him.

Post build – He has been as very accessible dealing with post build punch lists as he was along the build process.  I would strongly recommend Trey and Lewis Coastal Homes for anyone considering a build. 

First let me preface that we were doing a long distance build. With that said, we did our due diligence in researching builders for our “forever home”. This was our first time building a new home, and we feel we made the best choice to build with Trey Lewis and Lewis Coastal Homes. From the very beginning Trey was extremely accommodating, accessible, and forthcoming. To show us the quality of his work, he invited us to tour his own home that he had built.

We were able to make modifications to suit our needs, which literally entailed switching up almost every room! He walked us through the whole process, step by step and kept us informed via in-person meetings, phone calls, texts, and video calls. We were very comfortable with the whole build – one of the reasons we choose Trey was the quality of the structure and the materials he used. The level of materials he used tended to be “upgrades” with other builders but were standards with Trey.

We couldn’t be happier with our new home and we are so glad we chose Lewis Coastal Homes to build it. We will definitely use them again for any future construction needs!

Lewis Coastal Homes completed our home in March of 2022. During the process, working with Trey was wonderful! He always answered our calls and was very patient with all of our questions and indecisiveness. Our house was finished with quality work within eight months of signing the contract. There are many other builders constructing homes in our neighborhood that broke ground prior to ours that are still not near completion— and we have now been in our home for four months! I was impressed by the fact we were able to meet most of the subcontractors that assisted on our home and they each had as much pride and passion for their work as Trey. Our job site was always maintained and tidy.

If we were to build another home, we would definitely use Lewis Coastal Homes again; however, they did so well we won’t need to as this will be our forever home.

I have renovated two homes with Lewis Coastal Homes and recommend them to all of my family and friends in the area. They are diligent, quick with communication, and always have the client’s best interest at focus. Through the highs and lows of home renovations, Trey Lewis is who you want on your team.

We love our beautiful new home! Trey and Cole really stayed on the job and kept things moving. Where other builders were taking 12 months to complete, our custom home was stick built in 8 months. All of their sub contractors were quality people who always left things neat and orderly. Any time we had a concern they listened to our suggestions and implemented solutions. As with any build there were bumps in the road, but were always quickly resolved. We would highly recommend and would use them in the future for our building needs.

We had interviewed 5-6 builders in the Wilmington/Surf City area to build our custom home, and did not have good experiences with these other guys. Either you had to go through a realtor to talk to a builder, or they just didn’t respond in a timely manner. Trey was recommended to us by a neighbor in the area, and we are so glad we went with Lewis Coastal Homes. This was our first time doing a custom home, and Trey made the whole process a lot easier. Trey and Cole were always there to answer our questions, address any issues we had, and did not belittled us like the other builders in the area. If you are going to spend your hard earned money, thousands to millions of dollars, you expect to be treated with respect, show you that they want your business, and do whatever it takes, and these guys definitely do! They’ve earned our trust and exceeded our expectations on our build. We highly recommend them for your next project.

We just finished our second experience working with Trey Lewis and his team to update/remodel one of our homes. In all of our 30+ years of home ownership we have never worked with a group that is more committed to quality work, punctuality, cleanliness, and customer service. When Trey’s team gives me a timeline I know exactly when the work will start.
